AN accident involving a car and a motorbike closed Canvey Way.

Canvey Way in Canvey Island is partially blocked at Waterside Roundabout, because of an accident involving a car and a motorbike at around 8pm.

Police closed the road as ambulance services attended the scene.

The motorcyclist was treated for minor leg and arm injuries and taken to Basildon Hospital.

Nothing illegal about it. But then again, you have to be a bit of a nutter cycling down Canvey Way.

It certainly didn't say motorcyclist in the original report.
Either way, it once again shows a complete disregard from Castle Point Council and Essex County Council to other road users than motorised traffic, that you are expected to cycle on that road.
