GROUPS looking to fund a new venture can apply for a grant from Basildon Council.
It has made £20,100 available to local groups through its community and organisations programme.
Each group can apply for up to £2,000 each, which would be spent over a year.
Terri Sargent, Basildon Council’s cabinet member for environment and community, said: “The council’s aim is to create opportunity for local people, and by providing funding for community groups who understand the needs of the area, and are willing to volunteer their time to make these projects a success, we are helping to ensure the borough a better place to live and work.”
Grants can be used towards a new project.
Two deadlines have been set - Tuesday, September 30 and Wednesday, December 31.
Groups who have received funding from this scheme in the last three years are not eligible to apply this year.
