A CRASH has brought rush-hour traffic to a stop this afternoon.
Emergency Services rushed to the scene following a two vehicle crash at the Pitsea flyover.
The crash which involved a white Fiat 500 and a white Mitsubishi took place at about 4.45pm.
The carriageway towards Southend was blocked and traffic remained slow back to Stanford-le-hope.
Police, three ambulances, a rapid response car, and three fire engines from Basildon, Orsett and Rayleigh Weir attended the incident.
The fire service worked to free a woman that had been trapped – she was released by about 5.40pm.
Two people were also treated for back and neck injuries by the ambulance service and were taken to Southend Hospital for further treatment.
The injuries are not thought to be serious.
