THIS little kitten is looking for a new home after being dumped in a box in the street.

Minky, who is about seven weeks old, was found in Laindon.

She is currently being cared for by Basildon, Brentwood and District Cats’ Protection.

Janet Rouse, from the group, said: “Thankfully she is in generally good health, but if she had not been found by a kind person, who contacted us, we dread to think what would have happened to her.

“She will be staying with us until she is old enough to be rehomed, by which time she will have been vaccinated, microchipped and treated for fleas and worms. “Despite her ordeal, she has a really sweet nature.”

The branch, which is operated entirely by volunteers, has more than 15 cats and 63 kittens looking for new homes.

The branch also has a long waiting list of cats waiting to be cared for.
