A MOUNTAIN bike worth £400 was stolen from a train station.

British Transport Police want to trace these two men, captured on CCTV, following the theft at Westcliff train station.

Tha Cube mountain bike was stolen from cycle racks at platform two.

Police believe the thief used cutting equipment to release the lock which had secured the bike to the racks, before stealing it and leaving the station.

PC Kevin Cornell said: “Investigations to date have enabled us to isolate the images of two men we feel have vital information about the theft.

“They were pictured at the scene of the theft and, later that day, were seen at Chalkwell and Pitsea stations.

“I am confident they have information about the theft and call on anyone who recognises them, or who can help our investigation, to come forward.”
