A POTHOLE which closed a Billericay road for two days has been filled in.
Norsey Road had to be closed to drivers on Wednesday after the giant defect appeared.
Essex Highways sent engineers to the site and finally got the road opened at 1.30pm today.
A spokesman for Essex Highways said: "Network Rail undertook remedial work to the structure on Thursday, including some pouring of concrete, and confirmed to Essex Highways that the road surface repairs could take place on Friday once the concrete had cured.
"An Essex Highways Maintenance crew attended site this morning and completed the laying of base and surface courses and removed all barriers at 1:30pm.
"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to drivers while this necessary work was completed."
