A GIRL said goodbye to her long locks for charity.
Jorja Hickin, ten, of Ashingdon, donated her waist-length hair and £213 in sponsorship to the Little Princess Trust, which provides realistic wigs to children suffering with hair loss.
Her mother, Louise, said: “We weren’t sure whether she would like it, so we were concerned. But we are proud she did it, not knowing that she would like it.”
The Ashingdon Primary School pupil opted for the chop after a classmate cut her hair in aid of a heart charity.
Jorja was also influenced by Essex pop star Jessie J, who shaved her hair off on TV for the trust. Jorja’s parents thanked hairdresser Jodie Lisovsky, who cut the youngster’s hair for free, and Fox Estate Agents, who sponsored Jorja. To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/jorja-hickin
