MORE than 20 people have objected to plans to build one more home than originally planned on a tennis club site in Leigh.
Developer Ian Pryor already has planning permission to build six homes at the former Leigh Tennis Club site, in Highlands Boulevard.
He won it after an appeal against Southend Council’s original refusal was upheld by the Planning Inspectorate.
Neighbours bitterly opposed the original plan, on the grounds of overdevelopment, traffic concerns, and that it would spoil their views.
Theapplication to addaseventh home, with access via Adalia Crescent through to Agnes Avenue, has attracted 21objections.
However, council planning officers are recommending approval for the application, which is due to go before the council’s development control committee on Wednesday.
