A WOMAN has been left terrified for her safety after three strangers turned up at her house and threatened to hurt her if she did not hand over cash.

Three men knocked at the property in the Newton Road area of Tilbury at around 10.30pm on Monday, November 3, and demanded money.

When she refused, they threatened her and suggested they would be returning to the family home.

Det Sgt Natalia Ross, investigating officer, said: “The victim did not give the men anything but they threatened her and suggested they would be returning. There were children in the house at the time this happened and the woman has been left very frightened. We have taken steps to ensure their safety and are working to establish why the man called at her property.”

The men were all black, with the first thought to be aged around 35.

He is described as 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build, with very short black hair, and was wearing a dark green jacket with a collar, navy blue jeans and trainers.

The second man was around 30, also 5ft 9ins tall, with short black hair and a round face.

The top half of his ear was missing as if it had been cut off, and he was wearing a blue sports-style pullover and blue tracksuit bottoms.

The final man was 5ft 5ins tall and also thought to be around 30.

He was of slim build and had stubble on his face.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a dark coloured woolly hat with the peak turned down, a navy blue jacket with a white zip, and dark trousers.
