A WOMAN was followed home before a stranger sexually assaulted her.
Police are urging witnesses to come forward following the attack, which took place in the Acacia Drive area of Thorpe Bay at around 10pm on Thursday, November 6.
A man is believed to have followed the victim from Station Road and grabbed her as she turned into Acacia Drive, before sexually assaulting her near a bus stop.
She was able to get away from the man and knocked at the door of a nearby house for help.
The suspect is described as being of Asian appearance, in his 20s, around 5ft 6ins tall, with very dark eyebrows and a slight moustache.
He was wearing a black hooded top and blue jeans.
