A MAN remains in a serious condition after he was punched to the ground.
A man in his thirties from Southend remains in a serious condition in hospital with a bleed on the brain 11 days after he was punched in the face.
The assault happened during an altercation between two men in York Road, Southend, at about 4pm on Tuesday, November 11.
The victim, who fell unconscious to the ground, was taken to Southend General Hospital and later transferred to Queens at Romford, where his condition remains serious.
A 25-year-old man from Southend was arrested in connection with the incident and was bailed until December 20 pending further enquiries.
Detectives want to hear from any witnesses and would especially like to hear from one potential witnesses who called police but did not leave contact details.
