THE family of young cyclist who died after an accident with a car in Westcliff have left floral tributes to their son and brother.

The man, believed to be in his twenties and called Kaden, is thought to have slipped from his bike and been hit by a Range Rover in London Road, Westcliff.

He was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday, despite the efforts of trainee nurses from the University of Essex, who were passing and tried to revive him.

Floral tributes are now being laid at the place where he died.

A message from his parents read: “Our beautiful son, taken from us too soon, we love you so much.” His sister Saffron wrote: “The bestest brother in the world, thank you for being there for me always. You really did not deserve this, love you.”

Another message from relatives read: “To my beautiful nephew and our grandson, forever in our hearts. Love always Auntie Shazza and Grandad Ian.”

Tributes have also been left on the Echo’s Facebook page and at echo-news.co.uk Chubbiest Hobo wrote: “I knew him, he was a great bloke. I feel so much for his family.

“It was an accident. His work colleague was with him. My heart goes out to his family, friends and all who knew him.”

Meg Sibley, whose partner worked with Kaden, simply said: “RIP Kaden. Xxxx”

The four trainee nurses who tried save Kaden’s life were third year nursing students at the University of Essex’s Southend campus.

Three women and one man performed CPR until the emergency services arrived.
