LIVE reptiles and a dramatised story of the Velveteen Rabbit will be part of Leigh’s celebration of Easter this year.
Leigh Community Centre, in Elm Road, will play host to the town council’s family event from 11am on March 28.
The event will also include Mr Wiz’s Magic Show, Quackers’ singing fun, Professor Joe’s Punch and Judy and an art workshop.
Live reptiles will be provided by Snakes Alive while the Velveteen Rabbit will be performed by Cally Davis Drama.
An Easter crafts workshop will be provided by the Blenheim Children’s Centre and other activities such as bouncy castles, face painting, Buttercup Messy play and a host of stalls, games, activities and refreshments will be taking place alongside live music in the centre’s cafe, Elsie’s Place.
There will also be a Churches Together egg hunt with eggs donated by the Co-op, Waitrose, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.
An Easter bonnet and hat competition will be taking place from 12.30pm, with a first prize of an Adventure Island ticket.
Although the event is free, visitors are encouraged to donate to the Sycamore Fund and Thursday Club charities while there.
