A TEENAGE neighbour from hell has been evicted after repeatedly breaching an anti-social behaviour order.

Yob Darren McInally, 19, terrorised residents in Loanfoot Avenue, Neilston, for more than two years, but has finally been kicked out of his rented property by East Renfrewshire Council.

However, the tearaway, may now be given another house by the council after registering himself homeless.

"He can also choose to be rehoused by another local authority.

Conservative MSP Bill Aitken said he was outraged that McInally could end up spreading further misery in East Renfrewshire or elsewhere.

He said: "This man's behaviour highlights how inadequate the Asbo process is for coping with disorderly people.

"Having been kicked out by one local authority, the fact that he can cross the city boundary and demand to be rehoused is a total nonsense."

Mr Aitken added: "He must be laughing up his sleeve."

Known locally as the "Asbo King", renowned for holding rowdy parties, fighting in the street and being abusive to neighbours who complained, McInally is currently living in a homeless hostel in Clarkston.

The Asbo bans him from shouting, fighting, swearing or intimidating neighbours wherever he lives in East Renfrewshire - but doesn't apply anywhere else.

News of his eviction brought a mixed reaction from neighbours.

One pensioner, who did not want to be named, said he was glad to see the back of him. He said: "Good riddance. There were constant parties and street fighting at all hours, day and night, and the police were never away from the house."

However another neighbour, who also wanted to remain anonymous, said she felt sorry for McInally.

"Darren has had a lot of personal problems to deal with and he just seemed to go off the rails. He's not a bad lad, he just needs some guidance."

A spokesman for East Renfrewshire Council said: "This case shows how serious we are about tackling anti-social behaviour."
