Crash leaves man with head injuries
A MAN in his fifties is in hospital with head injuries after a crash on the A13.
A white Ford Transit panel van and a red Honda motorcycle collided at the Orsett Cock junction with the A128 just after 6.30am today.
An ambulance crew and rapid response vehicle attended the incident, which was on the Londonbound carriageway and a man the patient, believed to be the motorcyclist, was taken to Basildon Hospital for further treatment.
The patient was conscious and breathing and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The road was closed until about 8.20am.
