POLICE have released an efit of a man who punched a woman in the face and pushed her to the floor during a terrifying street robbery.

The female victim was walking close to the junction of Church Road and The Avenue, Hadleigh, in broad daylight when she was approached by a man who punched her and attempted to take her handbag.

The man then chased her, pushed her to the floor from behind and stole her bag.

The incident took place at around midday on Tuesday, April 14.

Officers investigating the incident have released an efit in the hope someone will recognise the suspect.

He is described as white, around 6ft tall, aged around 20 with a skinny build.

He has black teeth with some missing and large ears and lips.

At the time of the mugging, he was wearing a grey tracksuit, white trainers and two black baseball caps.
