A ROAD has re-opened after being closed by police because of a burst water main.
Motorists faced traffic chaos at the Fairglen Interchange after the main in Chelmsford Road, Rawreth, burst in the early hours of the morning.
The A1245 was closed from the Carpenters Arms pub, at the junction of Old London Road, making it difficult for traffic to join the A127 and causing long queues to form.
Police put a diversion in place after being called to the scene at 4.20am, but this was lifted six hours later after engineers successfully carried out repairs.
