CURLY-TOPPED folk singer Fraser A. Gorman performs at South Records, in Southend, on Wednesday.
The gig is at 1.30pm, so if you work near the store in Queen’s Road, or have a day off, swap your sandwiches for some musical food for the soul.
Melbourne-based Fraser, 23, has just finished touring with label mate and best pal Courtney Barnett, and will play at South before heading to the Great Escape Festival in Brighton.
Fraser’s debut album, Slow Gum, is set for release on June 29, which you can pre-order from South and record stores. The album is said to build on the promise of singles, Book of Love and Broken Hands with cool, funny, heartfelt numbers and tunes for “hazy summer nights and the milky morning hours”.
