A GROUP of 16 youngsters at a school have completed their early training to become interpreters.
Milton Hall Primary School, in Salisbury Avenue, Westcliff, has a bilingual school with 47 different languages spoken.
Nicky Vangalis-Stobbs visited the school as part of the Young Interpreters scheme, and the group of children, aged between eight and 11, took part in a four-session training course, where they learned skills in interpreting for children who both speak their own language and for youngsters who do not have a language in common.
Now, they will help newer children settle in and run a library group.
