A MURDER inquiry has been launched following a stabbing in Westcliff yesterday.

The 30-year-old from Westcliff was stabbed in the chest in Park Lane on Tuesday afternoon, June 2, and was found collapsed in nearby Park Road.

He was given life-saving treatment at the scene and taken to Southend Hospital where he sadly died today, Wednesday, June 3.

DCI Simon Werrett is leading the murder enquiry and is searching for two men believed responsible.

The first man is described as white, gaunt looking, of skinny build, 5ft 11ins tall, aged 20 to 30-years-old, wearing a baggy top which may have been white in colour.

The second man was darker skinned.

They were seen running away from the scrap yard in Park Lane where it is believed the victim was stabbed.
