THE main road through Rochford was closed for more than two and a half hours after a crash.
A woman in her thirties was taken to Southend Hospital with back and leg injuries after a Renault Grand Scenic and an Iveco panel van collided in Ashingdon Road, Rochford, at 11.50am today.
The road was closed between the junctions with Boswell Avenue and Brays Lane, in the town centre, from 1pm to 3.40pm.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to a collision involving a car and a van in Ashingdon Road, Rochford, at 11.50am on Monday, June 22.
“A woman in her 30s who was in the Renault suffered back and leg injuries.
“The road was closed between Boswell Avenue and Brays Lane from 1pm and cleared by 3.40pm.”
Witnesses are asked to call police on 101.
