TWO people have been charged in connection with an acid attack.
Darren Pidgeon, a 27, from Rayleigh, had acid thrown in his face in Kingsmere, Thundersley, last June.
The shocking incident appeared on BBC Crimewatch three months ago.
Two people were arrested on Wednesday, June 17, and later charged.
Ashley Russell, 29, of Sunnedon, Basildon, and Christina Storey, 31, of Studland Avenue, Wickford, were charged with conspiracy to commit GBH.
Storey was also charged with committing an act with intent to pervert the course of justice.
They appeared in Southend Magistrates Court the day after their arrest, and were remanded in custody.
They are due to appear Basildon Crown Court on Monday, August 24.
Mr Pidgeon was attacked shortly before 11:30pm on Tuesday, June 3, when the occupants of a car sprayed a corrosive liquid in his face.
