A MAN has been charged with the murder of a 50-year-old man who was stabbed inside a property in Beedell Avenue, Westcliff.
Unemployed Carlyle Daley, 46 of Beedell Avenue, was charged in the early hours of this morning, and will appear before Magistrates in Southend this morning.
The 30-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has been released from police custody without charge and will face no further action.
Police launched a murder enquiry after they were called just after 9.30pm on Sunday, July 5, following reports that a man had been found collapsed in the kitchen.
Police officers and ambulance crews attended but the man, aged 50 and from the local area, was dead. He is believed to have been stabbed.

The two men arrested are aged 46 and 30 and are from Westcliff. They are still helping police with their inquiries.
