FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a blaze at Basildon's Festival Leisure Park.
Two crews from Basildon were called out shortly before 4.30pm with reports of a fire at the Sky Bar, which is currently being transformed into a new nightclub.
A huge building project is taking place at the leisure park, with Liquid, Envy, JJs and New York New York being turned into a soft play centre and new nightclubs.
The East of England Ambulance Service has has sent one ambulance, an ambulance car and its hazardous area response team to the scene.
The blaze started after a compressor on the roof set alight.
