A PLUMBER is in the running for a national award.

Paul Clark, from Billericay, has been announced as one of ten finalists in the UK Plumber of the Year 2015 competition.

The competition, a joint project between shower firms JT and Bristan, is designed to reward and acknowledge the talents of the UK's best plumbers, and asks entrants to demonstrate their plumbing, service and business skills.

The five finalists who receive the most public votes will attend an interview session with a judging panel, who will then decide the winner.

£5,000 worth of JT and Bristan products, a session with a marketing company, a smartphone, tools, and clothing are up for grabs.

Paul, who owns Ramsden Heating and Plumbing, based in Crays Hill, said: “I would like to thankmywife for putting me forward for this competition.

“Being a plumber is a 24/7 job and to be recognised for my efforts is amazing.

“Hopefully I will win the title of Plumber of the Year to top it off.”

Paul Crossley, Managing Director of JT, added: “Firstly, well done Paul! We were impressed with his work ethic, working every day of the year, with no job being too big or too small.

“We also really like that he is committed to helping people in need with free plumbing work and giving back to the community.

We wish him the best of luck in the competition.”
