Picture from the past: Mayflower ambassador
In 1985, Sarah Page, then 18 and a student at Mayflower School, Billericay, was chosen to be a roving ambassador to encourage more girls to take up engineering.
Sarah’s elastic-band powered car had won a number of prizes.
