ARE you offended by women breastfeeding in public? After a restaurant owner hit back at a customer who complained about a mother feeding her child this week, her Facebook post went viral.
Louise Pitt, owner of the Grove, on Belton Corner, Leigh, said she was astonished to receive a call from the wife of the customer complaining he had been left “devastated” by the experience of witnessing one of her customers breastfeed in the restaurant, while with his two teenage grandchildren.
Mum2Mum, an NHS south Essex breastfeeding support group, praised the restaurant’s stance.
A post on the Grove's Facebook page gathered hundreds of responses.
