MOTORISTS face delays following a car accident in Basildon this morning.
Traffic is building along Cranes Farm Road following the crash which took place at around 8.20am.
Ambulance and fire crews were called to the scene.
Firefighters cut one motorist out of their car.
Paramedics treated a woman in her early twenties for spinal injuries and a man in his fifties for injuries caused by the airbags in his car.
Both patients were taken to Basildon Hospital for treatment.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "We don't believe their injuries are life-threatening."
