DON’T forget, tomorrow is all about our four-legged friends and rock ‘n’ roll, when musicians Dave Woodcock and Wendy Solomon put on Dogtober – two floors of free music taking place in aid of the Dog’s Trust.

The idea started as a way to mark the occasion of couple’s dog’s first birthday, whilst “raising money for less fortunate pooches”.

NowDavid Woodcock, the Hillmisters, 4 & 20 Blackbirds, Bob Collum and Marianne Hyatt, Paul Hill, Nathan Abbott, Angel and the Melodyhorns, Howling Black Soul, Neon Harvest, Tim Sully, Neon Harvest, New Subjects, Micky Denny, the Wilhoites and Freya Hannah are on the line-up, with the Podrophenia DJs supporting with their record collection until 1am.The event starts at 7pm at the pub in NewRoad, Leigh, tomorrow, Saturday, October 10.

Wendy Soloman said: “There will be a mass jam at the end under the guise of the Pedigree Chums, where people are invited to jump on stage and sing or play along to dog-themed cover version.

“Anyone wants to get involved in any way should contact me at wendysolomonmusic@gmail.com.”

She added: “It’s a free event with donations and a raffle and all proceeds going to the Dog’s Trust in Billericay, specifically into a fund they have that is used to buy equipment for their dogs thereby giving a benefit to current animals and rescue dogs for years to come.”

Dogs are welcome at the event.
