POLICE are investigating after a woman was assaulted in a roadside attack in Basildon.
Officers were called to East Mayne near The Watermill pub following reports of an altercation between two drivers yesterday.
A woman in her 50s suffered injuries including scrapes and bruises and police are appealing for information about a blue Mini Cooper S.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Police are appealing for information following reports of an incident in Basildon in which a woman was assaulted.
"The incident is being treated as an assault causing actual bodily harm.
"Enquiries are being carried out to track down the driver of a blue Mini Copper S."
