A MAN will face a crown court trial charged with firearms offences, burglary and robbery.

Conall Regan, 21, who was last known to be living in Thames Road, Canvey, appeared at Basildon Crown Court yesterday.

He is charged with robbing Bradley Morgan of cash and house keys on Sunday, April 26, as well as possessing an imitation handgun to make Mr Morgan believe he would use unlawful violence against him.

Regan was further charged with burgling a home in Eastways, Canvey, on Sunday, April 26.

The court also heard he threatened to hurt and intimidate Mr Morgan, intending a police investigation to be interfered with.

Regan, who appeared in court via a video link from Chelmsford Prison, denied all the charges.

He was remanded in custody to next appear at Basildon Crown Court on Monday, January 18, for trial.
