A TEENAGER became the latest victim of knife crime in Basildon when he was attacked just hours before campaigners took to the streets to say ‘No’ to knife crime.
The 18-year-old suffered a minor wound to his leg during the assault, which took place in Long Riding at 6.50pm yesterday.
The 60 walkers, including relatives of knife victim Darren Kelly, took to the streets to voice their opposition to carrying knives following a spate of high profile incidents in the town. Full story, click here
Police attended the scene and conducted inquiries in the area of the latest knife attack, but have not made any arrests.
