A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was hit in the face then robbed of £70 as he walked near Hockley train station.
The teenager was walking underneath the railway track when he was approached from behind by three unknown men at 7.30pm on November 12.
He was punched in the face before the robbers stole the money.
Investigating officer PC Calley Mackey said: "The victim was not injured but he was obviously upset by what happened. Unfortunately he did not get a good look at his attackers but if anyone was in the area at this time and saw three men then I would like to hear from them."
Anyone with information in relation to the incident should phone PC Mackey at Southend police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
