Police helicopter circles Benfleet
Police are hunting a man who assualted a woman and threatened her with a knife in Link Road, Canvey.
The force helicopter was seen circling this morning.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Police were contacted shortly before 10.55am on Thursday, February 4 with reports a woman had been assaulted by a man at an address in Link Road, Canvey.
"She was also reported to have been threatened with a knife.
Officers, assisted by the force helicopter, carried out a search of the area for the suspect and enquiries are ongoing to locate him."
