THE Disney animation film Frozen has been hugely popular among children around the world attracted to the fairytale of Princess Elsa and her power to create snow and ice.

And on Sunday, Marsh Farm at South Woodham Ferrers staged a special Let It Snow day in honour of the movie in which children were encouraged to dress up as their favourite characters.

And the event attracted a 2,000 children who took part in a range of activities including shows and singalongs.

There were also arts and crafts activities and a question and answer session.

James Martin, who works in marketing at Marsh Farm, said children loved to dress up, but mainly had to do so indoors because they could not go out anywhere in fancy dress, so the farm wanted to offer them the chance to dress up outdoors.

He said: “Lots of girls like dressing up as the princess and so we decided to create an event for the children. Most children like dressing up, but they mostly do it indoors because mum does not want to take little Sally dressed up to Tesco.

“So the event was really about encouraging them to express themselves.”
