PRIMARY pupils celebrated the Chinese New Year by making dragons and parading through the school grounds, yesterday.
Each class at the Cherry Tree Primary School, in Church Lane, Basildon, joined in the celebration before returning to class to make Chinese drums, use shadow puppets and cooking noodles.
A spokesman for the school said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed it.
“They all had a really good time.
“There were smiling faces everywhere and glitter all over the carpet – it was fantastic.”
