WESTCLIFF High School for Girls pupils are preparing for their next school production.

About 65 youngsters, from Years 7 to 13, spent Saturday rehearsing Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods, which follows fairytale characters such as Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Cinderella on their trips into the woods.

The show runs from Wednesday, March 16 until Saturday, March 19.

Simeon Clarke, co-director said: “What’s so pleasing is we have so many students involved in all three facets of the show. The band provides the music, we have tech teams and acting too.

“It has gone really well, and we are keen to ensure the pupils have as much of an opportunity as possible to get involved.”
