IT'S 35 years since Bucks Fizz stormed to the top of the charts with that iconic skirt ripping song.

So what better to time to go back on tour.

Tens of millions of viewers saw Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston have their skirts famously whipped off during the Eurovision Song Contest of 1981 during their rendition of Making Your Mind, and they've been suffering a similar wardrobe malfunction ever since.

“I don’t think I’ll ever get bored with it,” Cheryl says. “It was the moment that changed my life. It was less than two minutes long, that silly song and that piece of Velcro on my skirt changed my life completely.”

Not only did the Eurovision public want to see some more, the British public did, too, as the band went on to record more hit singles.

Today, they are as popular as ever.

Three of the original four – Cheryl and Jay, along with Mike Nolan – are back on the road again, this time with guest singer Bobby McVay and performing as Formerly of Bucks Fizz due to a long-running legal dispute.

In their heyday, the band had around 20 hit singles, three of which were number ones, another four were top ten, and another four top 20.

Recently the group have enjoyed somewhat of a revival, riding on the wave of such popular nostalgia festivals as Here and Now, Rewind and Let’s Rock.

Now back on the road again, the four are celebrating 35 years since the Eurovision Song Contest with a new spring tour as well as the release of their most recent album Fame and Fortune on vinyl in a collector’s presentation box
