A 101-YEAR-OLD celebrated her landmark birthday surrounded by family and friends.
Alice Smith, who lives at Godden Lodge Care Home in Hart Road, Thundersley celebrated her birthday on Thursday, March 17.
Nikki Moore, head of activities at the care home, said Alice enjoyed her special day.
She added: “The party went really well.
“It was a pretty busy day with lots going on and plenty of entertainment.
“We had children from the Thundersley Primary School choir come in and sing to Alice and the children gave her a birthday card."
Ms Moore added an Irish Dance group came in to perform.
She said: “Alice’s family came in to see her, wish her happy birthday and spend the day with her.
“We had the Davina Irish Dance Group come into the home to perform to Alice and they were fantastic.
“Alice loved the party and entertainment, she had a fab day.
“She has been speaking about the party ever since and wants to keep her balloons up for as long as possible.”
