A man was taken to hospital after a crash.
The man in his 40s was taken to Southend Hospital following a crash involving a car and a van in Progress Road, Leigh at around 2pm today.
Fire crews cut the man free from a car.
Two fire crews attended, one crew from Rayleigh Fire Station and a crew from Leigh Fire Station.
The East of England Ambulance Service was called to the scene at 2.06pm.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said the man was conscious and breathing when he was taken to hospital.
