A REWARD of £10,000 is being offered for information which helps find the killer of a homeless Southend woman whose body was found washed up on salt marshes.

The remains of Angela Millington, 33, were found on Foulness Island in June 2014, but DNA results did not identify her until more than a month later.

Independent charity Crimestoppers announced yesterday it was offering the reward for any information which leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for her death.

When human bones were spotted in salt marshes on the island, a full search of the area was carried out and further bones were found.

Angela, who lived in Southend, but was of no fixed address, was last seen in early February 2014 before her body was discovered four months later.

Antonia Litten, eastern regional manager for Crimestoppers, said: “This case is a bit of a mystery and it is unknown what ordeal Angela has gone through that resulted in her death.

“I would ask anyone who might know who was responsible for Angela’s murder to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through our anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.

"We never ask for any personal details and you will never have to give a statement or go to court.”
