FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire at a wooden outbuilding.
Two fire crews from Rayleigh Weir Fire Station were called to the fire in Clifton Road, Bowers Gifford at around 1.14am today.
A spokesman for Essex Fire and Rescue Service said: “The building which measured three metres by three metres was well alight.
“Crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire by 1:50am.
“A joint fire service and police investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of the fire.”
