Two men have appeared in court charged with drugs offences after officers raided a house in Southend last week.

Maxwell Phair, 20, of Rochford Road, Southend, and Daryl Brown, 51, of Kursaal Way, Southend, were arrested after officers executed a warrant at a property in Haygate Avenue, Southend at around 3.30pm on May 18, 2016.

Both men were taken into custody and later charged.

Phair was charged with three counts of being concerned in the supply of heroin and three counts of being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

Brown was charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of heroin and two counts of being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

Both men were remanded in custody and appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 20.

They were remanded in custody to appear at Basildon Crown Court on June 17.

No pleas were entered.
