HUNDREDS of children danced round the maypole as Thundersley Primary School held its official May Day celebration.
The school's lollipop lady Angie Alden, who retired on the same day as the event, was part of the festivities- crowning this year's king and queen, prince and princesses.
Parents were also invited to take part in the celebrations.
The school, in Hart Road, Thundersley, always pulls out the stops for May Day, a traditional spring festival involving singing and dancing.
A spokesman for the school said: “The May celebrations are longstanding tradition at the school and it was wonderful to uphold it this year.
“All of the children had a great day and the parents enjoyed themselves.
“Thank you to everyone who got involved.”
