A TEENAGE boy was taken to hospital after being knocked off his bike by a bus.
The incident happened at the junction of Hart Road and Rayleigh Road, Thundersley, at the Daws Heath Road roundabout near the Woodman Arms pub, shortly after 12.30pm today.
A 13-year-old boy suffered a head injury and was taken to Southend Hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
An ambulance spokesman said: “We were called at 12.36 to an RTC involving a bus in Rayleigh Road.
“We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew who treated a pedestrian, a 13-year-old boy.
“He was treated for cuts and bruises and a minor head injury and taken to Southend Hospital.”
The road was closed for nearly three hours.
