A motorist has been taken to hospital after the car he was in hit the central reservation on the A127 near Rayleigh.
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) received the emergency 999 call at 2.54am on Friday and dispatched a rapid response vehicle and ambulance crew to assist.
Medics were on scene within ten minutes to treat a man, believed to be in his 50s, for arm and back injuries.
Following the assessment at scene he was taken Southend University Hospital for further care in what is believed to be a stable condition.
