POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Basildon.

The victim, a 19 year-old woman, was outside Primark at around 11.15am on Thursday, January 19 in the town centre when a man came up behind her, pushed her head, and stole a bright pink purse.

The man is described as white, dressed in a green hooded jacket and grey and or silver tracksuit trousers.
