DELAYS and cancellations are expected on trains between London and Southend this evening.

Some commuters say Fenchurch Street Station has been closed due to overcrowding, with others taking to Twitter to vent their frustration as they claim c2c has failed to tell passengers about the closure via social media.

Train operator c2c Rail have reported that due to trespassers on the tracks at Southend East station and a train fault in West Ham, disruption is expected for commuters.

C2c Rail's website reports that a train is blocking the line at West Ham High Level, with delays of up to 25 minutes being expected until 8pm.

Delays are also expected between Fenchurch Street Station and Southend East, with the line now being re-opened following trespassers. Delays are still expected until 7.45pm.
