STUDENTS got a preview of what their future could look like by finding out more about different careers.

Representatives from over 30 businesses gave career advice to pupils at Chase High School’s annual Careers Fair.

The Careers Fair was open to all students in the upper school and was attended by a variety of providers including; Southend Hospital, Southend United, M&S, Metrobank, Job Centre Plus, SEEVIC College and a number of universities.

Wendy Krusche, Post 16 Manager, said, “The Careers Fair is part of a wider Careers and Progression Programme at the school. Students take part in CV writing seminars, mock interview days and two weeks of work experience alongside their study enabling them to progress to higher education or the world of work.”

Fahmida Rahman, 15, a student in Year 11, said, “The Careers Fair has been a brilliant opportunity to find out more about the different career paths open to me when I leave school. I have really enjoyed talking with the range of different exhibitors and found it particularly useful to find out more about apprenticeships and University courses.”
