TWO men who were caught speeding along the A127 before giving false information to police have been disqualified from driving.
Alexander Colley, of Wickford Avenue, Pitsea, and Timothy Osuhon, of Dunloe Street, Hackney, provided false details to police after driving at excess speed.
Both appeared at court this week after admitting failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver. They were brought to court after failing to reply to written prosecution notices.
Colley, 50, was disqualified for 18 months, fined £660 and was ordered to pay £250 in court costs at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
He was caught driving his silver Ford Mondeo in Rayleigh at 58mph in a 40mph limit at around 11am on December 9, 2015.
Osuhon, 26, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and was disqualified from driving for six months, fined £500 and ordered to pay court costs of £150.
He was driving his silver Mercedes at 65mph in a 40mph limit in Leigh at around 2am on December 11.
